There are two reminders for occasions that are approaching fast. First, the Atascadero Printery Foundation will have its Founders Reception and Annual Meeting at The Groves on 41 on Sunday, Nov. 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. Refreshments, olive oil tastings, and an intriguing silent auction are all included in the event. New Founders will be presented, and an update on the status of the historic Printery building renovation will be provided. Attendance is open to everyone who is interested in the project. Please call (805)466-1961 to confirm your attendance.
The dedication of the new Memory Walk (route), which is now under construction, will be the second event. On the grounds of both the Colony Museum and the Colony Heritage Center, the Memory Walk will be divided into four parts.
The dedication will take held at the Colony Museum on Friday, Nov. 19, at 3:30 p.m.
Engraved bricks will be an element of the Memory Walks, and will be used to commemorate a person, event, location, or celebration. The cost of a brick is $125. Visit atascaderohistoricalsociety.org for additional information.

Due to COVID, Coats for Kids and Adults has had to make some modifications in how we distribute this year. We’ll be collaborating with a few of our North County churches to assist us reach out to needy families.
Debbie and Tim Kopack, as well as their boys Evan and Chris, gave us a fantastic, extremely generous contribution of sweaters. We need sizes for children from infant to sixth grade since they are all adult sizes. If you’d like to give a new sweatshirt, please put it in a plastic bag and attach a message indicating that it’s for Coats for Kids. Drop off the bag at one of Plaza Cleaners’ locations (Atascadero or Paso Robles). We’ll collect the contributions and make sure they’re dispersed by December.
Please continue to donate gently worn coats and jackets to Plaza Cleaners in Atascadero or Fashion Cleaners in Paso Robles. They will be cleaned for free by the cleaners. They will be picked up by volunteers and distributed.
