There is a new Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot coming and the main cast has been revealed. Will you be tuning in?
The fresh prince of bel air reboot cast is the main cast for the upcoming reboot of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
The cast of Peacock’s Fresh Prince of Bel-Air remake, dubbed Bel-Air, has been revealed. Bel-Air adapts Will Smith’s semi-autobiographical tale for contemporary circumstances, based on a viral fan video made by Morgan Cooper (who also acts as executive producer, co-writer, and director of the remake). Morgan’s vision for the franchise is much more complex and dramatic than that of the original ’90s comedy, dealing on issues such as racism, class, money, sports, imprisonment, hip-hop, and other contemporary African-American adolescent problems. Would Smith has previously revealed that Jabari Banks, a rookie actor, will be his replacement; now meet the rest of the cast:
Cassandra Freeman (The Enemy Within, Atlanta) will play the new Vivian Banks; Olly Sholotan (Run Hide Fight, Evolution of Nate Gibson) will play the new Carlton Banks; Coco Jones (Let it Shine, Vampires vs. The Bronx) is the new Hilary Banks; Akira Akbar (We Can Be Heroes, Captain Marvel) will be Ashley Banks; Jimmy Akingbola (Most Dangerous Game, In The Long Run) will be the new Geoffrey; Jordan L. Jones (Rel, Snowfall) will be DJ “Jazz” Jeff; and Simone Joy Jones (The Chair, What If) is Lisa. Each member of the Bel-Air cast has a lot riding on their shoulders. Wishing them all the best!
The ensemble of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has plenty of time to prove themselves, since Peacock has already renewed the program for a second season before it ever debuted. More information about Bel-Air may be found below:
