The new Ghostbusters movie has been released and it is the most anticipated film of the year. Fans have been anxiously awaiting a sequel to the classic 80s films and now they finally have one. But does it live up to the hype?
The ghostbusters: afterlife release date is the upcoming reboot of the 1984 film Ghostbusters. It is set to be released in 2020.
Despite the fact that Ghostbusters: Afterlife has been postponed once again until November 19th, certain fortunate fans of the series were privileged to a screening at New York Comic-Con this weekend. After 22 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, the film now has an 86 percent critics score. Many people have expressed their opinions on the film on social media, with the majority of tweets being very favorable.
Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Paul Rudd, Bokeem Woodbine, Celeste O’Connor, and Logan Kim will appear in Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Classic cast members such as Annie Potts, Sigourney Weaver, Ernie Hudson, Dan Aykroyd, and Bill Murray are anticipated to make cameo appearances in the film, all of whom seem to be reprising their roles from the 1980s classics. The film follows a single mother (Coon) and her two children (Wolfhard, Grace) as they move to a tiny village and discover their link to the original ghostbusters as well as the hidden legacy their grandpa left behind.
Below are some of the tweets from those who watched Ghostbusters: Afterlife…
For the Win: Nostalgia
GHOSTBUSTERS AFTERLIFE demonstrates that nostalgia may be precisely what a franchise needs, and I’m never going to eat marshmallows again. Logan Kim and McKenna Grace steal the show. Paul Rudd didn’t have to be as attractive as he is. Start from the beginning and remain to the very end of the credits. pic.twitter.com/mjTAwiK9u @Ghostbusters

Excellent for Children
#Ghostbusters: Afterlife was a great film for me. Many references to the past, but most importantly, a joyful and at times scary adventure film for all ages with plenty of laughter and heart.
I would have freaked out if I had seen this movie as a child. pic.twitter.com/3VOa5WWcYc

“A Perfect Love Letter” is a poem written in the style of a love letter
When I say #GhostbustersAfterlife is everything I wanted from a sequel, I’m not exaggerating. It’s a beautiful love letter to Ghostbusters fans that pays homage to the original while forging its own thrilling route for the next generation. pic.twitter.com/cf9MLpxxRp

Though Nostalgia Isn’t For Everyone,
The Easter Egg/nostalgia-bait elements of #GhostbustersAfterlife didn’t appeal to me (unsurprisingly). When it’s simply a Jason Reitman-directed coming-of-age drama, though, it truly succeeds. The humorous writing is excellent, and McKenna Grace and Carrie Coon are also outstanding. pic.twitter.com/SoNJMkl0yX

GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE is an exciting crowd-pleaser that blends the past with the present. McKenna Grace and Logan Kim steal the show as a gratifying homage to Harold Ramis and the original flicks while introducing new lovable characters to carry the series forward! pic.twitter.com/bKOgYJ7Buo

MVP: Mckenna Grace
I had a blast with #GhostbustersAfterlife, a film that pays homage to the past while ushering in a new generation of ghost hunters. Fantastic comedy and action – Mckenna Grace, in my opinion, steals the show. She’s incredible. This long-term supporter was beaming the whole time. twitter.com/OG0p7qXvMp

You’re excited to see it.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife was one of the films I watched. I’ll write a review shortly, but it was fantastic. Don’t be fooled by my profile picture; I’m a severe and caustic critic of these films. But believe me when I say that the Afterlife reigns supreme. pic.twitter.com/9CWTcxFZMy

The Second Time Is the Charm
On a second viewing, Ghostbusters: Afterlife was just as entertaining. I’m blown away with Jason Reitman’s accomplishments. Fans of the Ghostbusters franchise will like it, but it will also inspire a new generation of fans. There are a lot of Easter eggs as well. pic.twitter.com/joGMzJEmfL #GhostbustersAfterlife
